A 4" Low Voltage Non-IC Rated Air-Tight Remodel Housing. Remodel housings are used in houses where you have no attic access or access to the ceiling joist. Constructed from high quality commercial A grade 20 gauge welded steel, this low voltage remodel housing is designed to last. Non-IC rating means that this housing cannot be used if you have insulation in your house. If you have insulation please see above. The Air-Tight feature on this low voltage remodel housing is designed to save you money on your energy costs by preventing heat and conditioned air from escaping like it would with non Air-Tight housings. This housing is UL Listed for damp locations, Air-Tight, and feed through wiring. A built-in thermal protector will shut off the light in case of improper bulb installation. Oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out). Knockouts: Multiple entries of 1/2" & 3/4" sizes.

This 4" 12V Non-IC Remodel housing is Air-Tight. As an Air-Tight housing, the fixture works to reduce energy costs. It does this by preventing heat or conditioned air that would normally escape from non air-tight fixtures, from escaping. On top of that this remodel housing is UL listed for damp locations, as well as for being Air-Tight. It also is UL listed for its feed through wire system. This means you can install this housing in almost any room in the house. Perfect for bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
This low voltage recessed housing is designed to use a traditional MR16 Halogen bulb. With just a click you can upgrade to one of AQL's high quality LED MR16 bulbs.
