A 4" 120v Non-IC rated air-tight remodel recessed housing. Construction from the highest quality metal available for recessed housings, commercial grade A welded steel. The air-tight feature on this housing serves to reduce energy costs by prevented heated or conditioned air from escaping your house like it normally would with non air-tight housings. A Non-IC rating means that this housing is not meant to be used in houses with insulation. If you have insulation you will need an IC rated can which can be found right here. (NOTE: Housing in link is New Work, you will need access to a ceiling joist for this housing.). This remodel can is meant for use in houses where access to a ceiling joist is not an option. If you do have access to a ceiling joist you may consider a new work can which can be found here.(NOTE: Housing in link is a Remodel Non-IC rated can.)

This 4" 120V Non-IC remodel housing is air-tight. As an air-tight housing, the fixture works to reduce energy costs. It does this by preventing heat or conditioned air that would normally escape from non air-tight fixtures, from escaping. On top of that this remodel housing is UL listed for damp locations, as well as for being air-tight. It also is UL listed for its feed through wire system. This means you can install this housing in almost any room in the house. Perfect for bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. 
Safety and Features:
With quality and safety in mind, this 120V Air-Tight remodel housing features a built-in aluminum reflective shield to draw heat away from the UL Certified Medium Base socket. A built-in thermal protector will shut the light off in the case of improper bulb installation. Also included are adjustable socket plates that allow you to adjust the placement of the medium base socket to better hide the bulb from view. Bulbs
