With a 75w capacity you can use higher wattage bulbs than a standard 50w will allow, or you can use a lower wattage bulb to preserve the life of the transformer. The air-tight feature on this housing is designed to save you money by preventing heat or conditioned air from escaping like it normally would in a non air-tight fixture.

On top of that this remodel housing is UL listed for damp locations, as well as for being air-tight. It also is UL listed for its feed through wire system. Safety Features:
