A 6" 120V IC rated 90w New Work Sloped Air-Tight recessed housing. Designed for homes with sloped ceilings. Constructed from the highest quality steel available for recessed housings, commercial grade A welded steel. An oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out). With multiple knockout entries of 1/2" & 3/4" sizes. An IC rating means that this sloped new work housing can safely make contact with insulation. If you do not have insulation in your home you will need a Non-IC rated housing, which can be found here. Being a new work housing, it is only meant for homes where you have access to the ceiling joist. If you do not have access to the ceiling joist you will need a remodel can, which can be found here.

The commercial grade A welded steel is the highest quality metal available for recessed housing. The IC rating for this housing means that you can make contact with insulation with this housing. If you do not have insulation you will need a Non-IC rated housing like the one found here. 
Air-Tight and UL Listed:
This housing features an air-tight seal. This seal works to save you money on your energy bill. It does this by preventing heated and conditioned air from escaping through gaps as it normally does with non air-tight fixtures. The quality of this housing is backed up by a UL Listing for damp locations, air-tightness, and its feed through wiring system. 
Safety and Features:
Featuring an oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out), a built in reflective aluminum heat shield that dissipates heat away socket, and a built in thermal protector will turn off the light, in case of improper bulb installation. All of these combine to give you a versatile housing that will provide quality lighting safely throughout your home. Bulbs
