LED allows you to cut costs by only using a fraction of the power that traditional lighting methods to produce to same light output. But what really makes the difference for this fixture is LED's reduced heat output. For most people, the light fixtures used for applications that this fixture would be used in, such as security lighting, are traditionally powered by metal halide and high pressure sodium bulbs. Those bulbs tend to produce extreme amounts of heat and as a result, they burn out quickly. The LED board on this wall pack produces little heat in comparison, allowing this fixture to last for years and years.
