Included with this 6" retrofit kit is an adapter to convert a medium base socket to a JC Bi-Pin socket. The adapter simply screws in the a 120V medium base and on the other end, a shielded JC Bi-Pin socket allows you to screw in a 120V MR16 light bulb.
