A 3" low voltage 50w IC rated air-tight new work recessed housing. Made from commercial grade A steel, this housing is designed to last. The IC rating on this housing means that it can be installed near insulation and is best suited for houses that have insulation. If you do not have insulation in your house you will need a Non-IC rated can which can be found by clicking here(NOTE: This is a NEW WORK can, you must have access to the ceiling joist in order to use this.) The air-tight feature works to reduce energy costs by eliminating heat and conditioned air from escaping as it would with normal non air-tight recessed housing. Being a remodel housing, it is best suited for houses where you do no have access to the ceiling joist.

This means you can install this housing in almost any room in the house. Perfect for bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
This low voltage recessed housing is designed to use a traditional MR16 Halogen bulb. With just a click you can upgrade to one of AQL's high quality LED MR16 bulbs.
