A 4" 120V 13w Fluorescent IC rated Remodel Housing. An air-tight fixture, it works to save you money by preventing heated and conditioned air from escaping through gaps like it normally would with non air-tight fixtures. An IC rating means that you can install this housing in homes with insulation. If you do not have insulation in your home, we recommend a Non-IC rated housing, such as this one. Being a remodel can, this housing is meant to be installed in houses where access to the ceiling joist is not available. If you do have access to the ceiling joist, we reccomend a new work housing such as this one.
Construction and IC Rating:
Built to last, this 4" 120V 13w fluorescent housing is made from high quality aluminum to ensure longevity and maximum heat dissipation. This ensures you get a product that will perform and last. An IC rating means that this housing can make direct contact with insulation, and as such is safe to use in homes with insulation. If you do not have insulation in your home, we recommend a Non-IC rated housing such as this one.

Sealed in engineer specified areas, this 4" fluorescent housing works to reduce your energy costs. It does this by preventing heated and conditioned air from escaping through gaps like it would with non air-tight fixtures. The quality and safety of this fixture is backed up with ETL listings for damp locations, air-tightness, and its feed through wiring system. 
Safety and Features:
With safety and quality in mind, this 4" fluorescent remodel housing has many safety features. Some of these include: a thermally protected, current controlled ballast that will produce full light output and increase lamp life with no noise and flicker, a built in thermal protector that will turn off the can light, incase of improper bulb installation, and a built in reflective aluminum heat shield dissipates heat away from the socket. Also included are an oversized J-Box allows for a maximum of (8) #12 AWG wires (4 in and 4 out), multiple knockout entries of 1/2" & 3/4" sizes, and a preinstalled adjustable bar hanger.
